Control 4 Reset Procedure for Handheld Remotes

This procedure may solve most remote problems. This procedure usually helps when the Control 4 remote does not properly display the room name it is suppose to control. To check and see if this procedure can help press the cancel button and view what the display says on the remote. If it properly displays the name of the room it controls, another problem probably exists, but resetting may help.

Remote Style - v.2 (Remotes that have Radio, TV, Music Video over the Red 4 Button) 

1. Remove 1 battery.
2. Press and hold the Red 4 button.
3. Continue holding the Red 4 button and re-insert the battery.
4. Continue holding Red 4 button until "TEST" appears at the top of the remote's display.
5. Release the Red 4 button.
6. Press and hold the cancel button. Keep holding the cancel button until the screen goes blank and then goes to sleep.
7. Release the cancel button.
8. The remote has now been reset and it will re-establish zigbee communication with its controller the next time the remote is used.

The v.2 remote should identify back on the C4 network.
